About Us

The Battleship North Carolina Ship’s Store’s sales support the mission of the Battleship North Carolina which is to serve as a World War II memorial and a museum interpreting the history of all ships named North Carolina.  The Battleship North Carolina Memorial is a preserved World War II vessel.

All monies received for original Battleship North Carolina teak and World War II hymnals sales go to the Battleship North Carolina Restoration Fund.  The original teak was replaced in 2000 and is available in 6 inch blocks with a brass plaque of authenticity.

The Battleship North Carolina is self-supported, and is not tax supported.  The Battleship North Carolina relies primarily upon admissions to tour the Ship, sales in the Ship's Store, and donations to the Friends of the Battleship. No funds for its administration and operation come from appropriations from governmental entities at the local, state or federal levels.
